How It Works

Everything you need to know about managing the Richmond Taylor website.

Images
How to Replace an Image

Option 1 — Upload from computer: Click any image card → click "Replace" → choose "Upload File" → select your image. JPG, PNG and WebP are supported. Images are stored in your browser.

Option 2 — Use a URL: Click "Use URL" on any image card → paste any image URL (Unsplash, your own server, etc.) → click Preview → Apply.

To go live: Changes are stored locally. Click "Export Changes" to download a rt-changes.json file. When the site is hosted, this file can be loaded automatically so changes persist for all visitors.

Text
How to Edit Text

Edit any heading or paragraph: Go to the Text tab → find the section you want to change → type in the box → click Save.

Note: Changes to text are applied when the page loads. If you clear your browser data, changes will be lost — always export first.

Future
When the Site is Hosted

Once hosted on Vercel or Netlify, changes will be stored in a real database (Supabase) and apply for all visitors immediately — no export needed. Images will be stored in Cloudflare R2. This admin panel is already built to support that upgrade.
